It’s always fun getting together with old friends. There’s so much to talk about, and you seem to pick up right where you left off. As if you just saw the person yesterday. This film falls right in line with that insight.
The three women are in their early to mid 40s. They grew up in the same neighborhood, went to the same schools, and had been inseparable most of their lives… until university, marriage, work, and other things split them apart. They didn’t stop being friends, but they certainly didn’t have the opportunity to spend much time together.
As with any friendship trio, we have to create chemistry. One might be very bubbly, another thoughtful and quiet, and another with an odd sense of humor. They just click that way. They balance each other out.
Our main character in the group could be the thoughtful one. She’s hosting the little Christmas get-together, and she’s the one who bought the lottery tickets.
The three friends are together in the den of a modest home. It’s the perfect place for them. Quiet and comfortable, they can laugh as loud as they want to and talk about anything.
It’s also festive. The host has decorated with a mix of homemade and purchased decorations. Christmas lights glow in the background. They’re all cozy together, just the three of them in this nice little space.
