work
This film is a clear example of how local knowledge becomes a creative and operational advantage. Following previous collaborations with JLR and Annex Films, I was brought in specifically because of my decades-long experience producing in the region. That expertise was critical in navigating cultural sensitivities, securing access to remote gaucho outposts and protected locations, and building the trust necessary to film in environments rarely accessible to outside productions.
Behind the creative ambition was a complex logistical challenge: coordinating multiple units, authorities, and teams across vast terrain while executing an ambitious production under demanding conditions. As the JLR clients later expressed, the project would not have been possible without the local expertise and relationships I brought to the production.
